LAKE COUNTY GROWS SOLAR

BlueChip Energy purchased 140 acres of land in Lake County, Florida for the development of a 40 Megawatt solar farm. It will be located about 50 miles northwest of Orlando.  The project will be built in stages and when completed, the estimated 140,000 ground-mounted, photovoltaic (PV) modules will be the largest in the state and one of the largest in the US.  It is projected to generate around 64-million kWh of electricity per year, enough electricity to serve around 8,000 households.

Blue Chip Energy is a licensed provider of renewable solar energy as a qualifying power production facility with the right to sell electricity to a utility. The power is intended to be sold locally and regionally under power purchase agreements.
